Title: Electronic Engr 1 - Telecom Location: Vancouver, WA (Hybrid) Duration: 12-month Contract (with possible extensions up to 5 years) Pay Range: $40.41 - $45.62 per hour Our client is looking for an Electronics Engineer who supports the design, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and integration of communications and electronic systems that are critical to reliable operations and infrastructure performance. Working closely with engineers, project managers, technical specialists, maintenance personnel, and operations teams, this role assists with the planning and execution of technology and construction-related projects, ensuring systems are deployed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with technical requirements.
Position Responsibilities: Compliance Program Support and Process Facilitation:- Assist with engineering studies, technical analysis, testing activities, and formal reporting to support project planning and implementation.
- Compile and present technical data, findings, reports, and visual materials to support engineering teams and project stakeholders.
- Support the installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and integration of communications and electronic systems.
- Participate in research, evaluation, and validation of equipment, technologies, and system performance.
- Conduct field assessments and site visits to collect data, verify conditions, and support engineering recommendations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including equipment settings, installation packages, procedures, records, and project reports.
- Coordinate project activities, provide scheduling updates, and track progress, milestones, and completed work.
- Collaborate with engineers, project teams, operations personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and system implementation.
- Apply established engineering standards, specifications, templates, and best practices to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance.
- Identify and help resolve technical issues, design discrepancies, and implementation challenges.
- Support communications infrastructure and related technologies, including networked systems, radio technologies, fiber-optic systems, monitoring equipment, and associated operational platforms.
- Maintain accurate project records, technical files, and documentation in accordance with information governance, security, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Communicate technical information clearly through written documentation, reports, and stakeholder updates.
- Contribute to process improvements and operational reliability by supporting the safe, efficient, and effective deployment of engineering solutions.
Position Requirements: Education & Corresponding Experience- A bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in electronic or telecommunications engineering, is required.
- Candidates 3 months from graduation will be considered. Proof of degree may be requested after graduation.
- 6 months of electrical engineering experience is required. (This can be paid or unpaid or part of training)
- Must have knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system.
Required Technical Skills & Experience- Skill in oral and written communication to effectively fulfill client, customer, and team requirements.
Preferred Skills & Experience - Experience or knowledge regarding preliminary engineering, design, and construction of telecommunications or network engineering projects.
- Knowledge of backbone infrastructure connectivity including microwave radio and fiber optic telecommunications systems.
