We are seeking an experienced Electronic Health Records (EHR) Specialist to support and optimize our EHR systems within a clinical environment. This individual will play a key role in maintaining data integrity, supporting staff, and ensuring compliance across our healthcare operations.

This role requires hands-on EHR experience within a hospital, clinic, or nonprofit healthcare setting.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the organization’s Electronic Health Records (EHR) system
Provide day-to-day support to clinical and administrative staff on EHR functionality and workflows
Ensure accuracy, integrity, and security of patient data in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies
Assist with EHR system updates, upgrades, and optimization initiatives
Train new staff and provide ongoing education on EHR best practices
Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with vendors or IT teams as needed
Run reports and support data extraction for clinical, operational, and compliance needs
Collaborate with leadership to improve workflows and enhance patient care delivery

Qualifications
Required: 2+ years of Electronic Health Records (EHR) experience in a hospital, clinic, or nonprofit healthcare setting
Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and medical terminology
Experience with EHR platforms (e.g., Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, etc.)
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient data privacy standards
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to train and support end-users with varying levels of technical proficiency
Excellent communication and organizational skills
