Pay Rate: $27.50 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift - 7am - 3:30pm (M to F)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct various electrical tests in accordance with UL, CSA, IEC, and NEMA standards for electrical distribution products to meet product development and sustaining testing demands.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable IEC, UL, and NEMA testing standards.
- Record accurate test data on standardized forms for delivery to the project engineer.
- Assist in the repair and replacement of test fixtures and maintain an active list of test fixtures to meet engineering department demands.
- Contribute to organizing and maintaining a lab 5S environment to meet goals and ensure maximum efficiency.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of safety requirements.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously to increase lab efficiency and provide engineering on-time test results.
- Share knowledge with other technicians to improve the technician pool’s core knowledge and capabilities.
- Complete additional assignments or tasks requested by the manager.
- Conduct pre and post calibrations, run dielectric/thermal testing, circuit configurations, and vibration testing.
Requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- An associate degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Technology from an accredited institution is required.
- Minimum 1 year of related technical experience.
- Electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and software aptitude is required.
Preferred Skills:
- Detailed skill in the use of computers for test documentation and analysis.
