• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 12 months (with strong possibility of permanent conversion)
• Pay Rate: $25.00 $30.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Job Summary

This role is for a Lab Technician within the Center of Excellence (COE) division, supporting high-power testing and battery cell testing.

Key Responsibilities

Lab Safety

• Experience and knowledge of high voltage safety (e.g., safety procedures/practices, PPE, etc.)
• Fabricate cable harnesses and connectors based on voltage and current ratings

Lab Organization

• Manage and maintain lab equipment, instruments, and tools (e.g., hand and power tools)
• In charge of lab equipment calibration
• Lab cleaning

Building and Testing Prototype Devices

• Construct, test, and repair prototype devices under test, including cables and connectors
• Troubleshoot prototype devices using documentation and inputs from design engineers
• PCBA rework and soldering
• Experience building and testing high-voltage and high-power electronics products a plus

Required Skills

• Ability to read electrical schematics and perform lab setup/per-organization
• Familiar with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, and other standard lab equipment
• Able to work under dynamic, time-constraint, and multitasking conditions
• Self-starter and always willing to learn
• High sense of responsibility and urgency towards work assignments

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on battery cell testing experience (strong plus)
• Experience building and testing high-voltage and high-power electronics products

Education Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent experience
• High school diploma or Associate degree acceptable; strong technical aptitude is more important

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a high-power/low-power testing lab environment
• Read electronic schematics and mechanical drawings
