ELECTRONIC MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

General Description:

Primary responsibility will be to provide IT support and all automation controlssupport plant wide.  Creative solutions and engineering welcome in areas that will increase production and reduce cost. This individual needs to be a motivated self-starter with the ability to take on and complete projects and support production needs.

• Fundamental understanding of Rockwell Software and Allen Bradley components.
• Knowledge of and programming of HMI screens such as PanelView’s.
• Knowledge of networking and networking switches.
• Knowledge of Mettler toledo metal detection systems.
• Ability to program in RS Logix 500, Studio 5000 and in Ignition Designer.
• Installation and diagnosis of VFD’s and servo drives.
• Strong working knowledge of both A/C and D/C electricity.
• Component level electronics knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of barcodes and methods of printing and scanning.
• Support and manage exacta vision camera system.
• Ability to diagnose and repair printers and label applicators.

Required skills:

• Three years related experience.
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must have knowledge of PLC Control Systems and Software.
• Must have knowledge of Network cabling and connectivity.
• Ability to troubleshoot controls and low voltage systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Must have strong customer support abilities.
• Must be willing to work in a plant/industrial environment.
• Supervisory skills; good interpersonal relations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good mechanical aptitude.

Education Requirements

•        High school diploma or GED equivalent.
•        College experience recommended.
