    Position Summary

    MSI Viking is seeking an experienced Electronic Metrology Technician to calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and certify electronic and electro-mechanical measuring and test equipment (M&TE) in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and A2LA requirements.

    This position plays a key role in ensuring our customers receive accurate, reliable measurement solutions while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role requires approximately 75% overnight travel to customer locations.

    What You'll Do

    • Perform calibration, adjustment, troubleshooting, and repair on a wide range of electronic and electro-mechanical measuring and test equipment (M&TE).
    • Follow company procedures, manufacturer specifications, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements to ensure accurate and compliant calibrations.
    • Complete calibration certificates and maintain detailed documentation for all work performed.
    • Utilize multifunction calibrators, including the Fluke 5500A and 5700A series.
    • Operate high-precision instruments such as the Keysight 3458A and Fluke 8588A 8.5-digit multimeters.
    • Maintain accurate records using the company's gage tracking software.
    • Assist with maintaining laboratory equipment and calibration standards.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
    • Travel to customer sites to perform on-site calibration and related services.
    • Collaborate with team members to meet customer turnaround times while delivering exceptional service.

    Requirements

    • 3–5 years of electronic metrology experience or successful completion of a Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) or equivalent metrology training program.
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 quality requirements.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability and willingness to travel overnight approximately 75% of the time.
    • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
