Mechanical Engineer - Electronics Packaging & Product Development
We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and manufacturing of complex electronic subsystems. This role will focus on electronics packaging, working in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment that includes electrical, RF/microwave, and thermal design teams.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on advanced products, combining hands-on development with cutting-edge design and testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop electronics packaging solutions for complex subsystems and components
Support product development lifecycle including design, analysis, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing
Perform testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of electronic assemblies
Create and maintain mechanical designs and documentation including CAD models and drawings
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges
Support manufacturing efforts and ensure designs are optimized for production and reliability
Contribute to the development of new technologies and product improvements
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 10+ years of relevant experience
Experience with electronics packaging, ideally in complex or regulated environments
Strong background in designing circuit card assemblies (CCAs), PCBs, and cabling systems
Proficiency in CREO and Windchill
Working knowledge of GD&T
Experience with change management processes and document control systems
Ability to troubleshoot and support manufacturing of electronic assemblies
Ability to obtain clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in high-reliability or regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, defense, medical, etc.)
Familiarity with environmental testing or validation processes
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work on complex, multidisciplinary systems

Desired skills:
1) BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2) Experience with electronics packaging for microwave electronics.
3) Experience with CREO, Windchill, Zuken.
4) Hands on experience with building and testing electronic assemblies.
5) Knowledge of GD&T is preferred.
6) Knowledge of materials and processes used in electronics is preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of Chelmsford, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $82.00/hr.
