What You'll Do as an Electronic Radiation Instrument Technician 1

  • Assists in the repair, service & non-NVLAP accredited calibration of electronic radiation detection & monitoring equipment (e.g., radiation detectors, personal electronic dosimeters & pocket ion chamber dosimeters);
  • Under direction of the Radiological instrument Service Manager & Radiological Instrument Tech 3, performs electronic radiation detection & monitoring equipment maintenance & repair;
  • Keeps records of the field exchange & inspection of state-owned radiological equipment located throughout the state;
  • Attends special equipment training as needed;
  • Assists the Radiological Instrument Service Manager & higher-level radiological instrument technicians in maintaining inventory of equipment;

OPTION 1:

30 mos. exp. in electronics;

AND valid driver's license.

OPTION 2:

  • Or completion of associate core program in electronics, electronics engineering or electrical/electronic engineering;

AND 6 mos. exp. in electronics;

AND valid driver's license.

  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
