Electronic Technician (Manufacturing Lead) - Canton, OH - Job 26-00339

Pay Range:
$26.00/HR Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits
1st shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday

A leadership-minded Electronic Technician for a premier Manufacturing Firm in Canton, OH. This is a pivotal role supervising the Electronics Division, ensuring the highest standards in the contract manufacturing of printed circuit boards (PCBs), cable harnesses, and electro-mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the production of electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBAs, ensuring all projects stay on schedule and budget.
  • Assign tasks to engineering and purchasing teams; provide technical guidance and follow-up to ensure accuracy.
  • Hands-on assembly per work orders and the configuration of assembly stations for production personnel.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers in sourcing components and troubleshooting production floor bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with the Contract Manufacturing Manager to compile accurate estimates for new assembly projects.
  • Direct QC processes to ensure all products meet rigorous electrical and safety specifications.
 
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Must be able to read and interpret complex electrical schematics.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with purchasing, engineering, and shop-floor staff.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain mobile (standing/walking) for the duration of the shift.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and standard office software (Email, Excel).
 
Technical Proficiencies:
  • Soldering guns, wire harness assembly equipment.
  • Advanced use of electronic test equipment.
  • Quality control, inspection procedures, and station setup.
