Job Description:

NOW HIRING Electronic Technicians at our Manchester Road location in Kalamazoo, MI!

 

ROLE: To provide electrical and electronics support to the manufacturing facility to maximize safety, quality, and production uptime.

 

Pay Range: $35.88 to $43.16 - Based on Experience

 

Shift/Hours: Days - 6:00AM to 3:00PM (Monday - Friday)

Overtime is guaranteed and at your discretion

 

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Safety:

  • Knowledge of electrical safety
  • LOTO
  • PPE
  • Arc flash ratings and boundaries
  • Knowledge of fall protection safety
  • Knowledge of PIT safety

Communication/Teamwork:

  • Ability to work a 12-hour shift
  • Ability to work in a lean organization, work with a variety of people from different departments daily
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work closely and productively as part of a cross-functional team
  • Ability to create and/or exhibit an atmosphere of openness, honesty, trust, and teamwork
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize as needed without loss of effectiveness and composure

REQUIRED Technical Knowledge:

  • Must have knowledge of safety circuits and systems
  • Must have knowledge of building facilities power distribution, switchgear, and lighting
  • Must have general knowledge of industrial electrical and machine controls
  • Must be able to read electrical and controls schematics and redline them, if necessary
  • Be familiar with the basic components of a PLC system; rack, power supply, CPU, and I/O cards
  • DC motor & drive experience
  • VFD experience; primarily with ABB and Allen-Bradley
  • Servo drive experience; primarily with Rexroth/Indramat
  • Controls experience; PID controllers, RTDs, thermocouples, control valves, pressure transmitters, and weigh cells
  • Basic PC skills. MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with SAP and Maintenance Connection a plus
  • Must understand and be able to make calculations based on Ohms Law & Watts Law

General:

  • Journeyman electrical license, minimum; Master electrical license is preferred
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing electrical & controls maintenance preferred
  • Completed the 2023 NEC Code update
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment electrical problems and identifying and then eliminating the root cause
  • Team oriented with qualities capable of working with others and sharing technical information
  • Work on small projects as time permits
  • Will be trained on and able to operate a scissor lift or boom lift and work at heights
  • Will be trained on and able to operate a PIT
  • Create work orders and enter job time entry (JTE) for them
  • Attend daily meetings and discuss electrical problems and issues with the manufacturing equipment
