Talascend is currently seeking an Electronics Assembler for a contract opportunity with our client in Clearwater, Florida.
Overview
The Electronics Assembler will perform a variety of assembly tasks supporting electronic products and systems, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The role involves following detailed instructions, working with electronic components, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic components, wiring, and hardware into sub-assemblies and final products in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, and written instructions.
- Perform soldering, wiring, crimping, and mechanical assembly tasks using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with IPC/J-STD and company standards.
- Identify and report nonconformances or defects to supervision and assist in corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records as required.
- Follow established ESD, FOD, and safety protocols in all assembly operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and throughput.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics assembly preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly, preferably in a defense or aerospace environment.
- Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or equivalent soldering/assembly standards (certification a plus).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and written work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance if required.
