Electronics Assembler

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electronics Assembler in Plymouth, MN for an approximately one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies, building modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables from diagrams and technical drawings.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• Active IPC J-STD-001 certification.
• 1-3+ years of experience hand soldering or assembling electronic components in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and work from engineering diagrams, technical drawings, and detailed technical instructions.
• Experience using precision hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to perform electronic and electro-mechanical assembly operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work within a team environment.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of hand-soldering experience, including inspection, complex rework/repair, and use of specialized soldering tools and equipment.
• Advanced ability to read, interpret, and work from technical documentation for electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Proficiency with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
• Willingness to be trained to work on explosive assemblies.

What You’ll Do

• Perform repetitive and non-repetitive assembly operations on complex electronic and electro-mechanical subassemblies.
• Build modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables using precision hand and power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Work directly from engineering diagrams, technical drawings, and initial layouts.
• Perform continuity checks on in-process and completed assemblies.
• Conduct quality inspections to verify completed work.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble electronic and mechanical assemblies.
• Test assemblies under simulated operating conditions.
• Follow detailed technical instructions and established manufacturing processes.

Work Schedule / Shift

• 1st shift.
• 9/80A work schedule.

Pay

$26.67 per hour.
