Job Description

This role focuses on testing, assembling, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic components and equipment down to the board and component level. The Electronics Assembler Technician works closely with another technician to build and occasionally repair products that incorporate extremely small electronic components. The position requires strong attention to detail, repetitive precision work, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics in a fast-growing production environment where quality and reliability are critical.

Responsibilities

  • Test electronic components and assemblies down to the board and component level to ensure proper functionality and performance.
  • Perform bench testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic equipment using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Assemble electronic products and subassemblies by following detailed work instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Use knowledge of AC/DC electronic theory to identify, diagnose, and resolve issues at the component level.
  • Work closely with another technician to coordinate assembly tasks and support occasional repair activities.
  • Handle and assemble extremely small electronic components with precision and care.
  • Perform soldering operations on electronic components and circuit boards in accordance with quality standards and best practices.
  • Assist with wire harness assembly and integration into larger electronic systems as needed.
  • Conduct electrical testing and inspection of assemblies throughout various phases of production to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and consistency while performing repetitive, detail-oriented tasks.
  • Follow established production processes, safety procedures, and quality control guidelines.
  • Document work performed, test results, and any issues identified during assembly or repair.
  • Contribute to a production-driven environment by meeting output goals while maintaining strict quality requirements.

Essential Skills

  • At least 3-5 years of experience performing electrical assembly to the component level.
  • Strong hands-on experience with electronic assembly, including working with extremely small components.
  • Ability to perform bench testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic equipment.
  • Solid understanding of electronic troubleshooting and repair theory, including AC/DC concepts.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and related technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated soldering experience on electronic components and circuit boards.
  • Experience performing electrical testing of assemblies and components.
  • Ability to perform repetitive, detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical school training or a related technical degree is preferred.
  • JSTD or IPC-610 soldering certification is preferred.
  • Experience with wire harness assembly is preferred.
  • Background in production assembly environments is beneficial.
  • Strong focus on quality, with familiarity in working under inspection and quality control processes.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a technician team in a production-driven setting.

Work Environment

The position is based in a clean production assembly environment that emphasizes both quality and productivity. The workplace is friendly and relaxed while remaining production driven, with clear output expectations. Quality is a core focus, and inspection checks occur at all phases of production to ensure that every product meets established standards. The organization is growing rapidly and is pursuing a larger facility to support increasing product volume. Technicians work with standard electronic assembly tools and equipment, handling very small components and performing precise soldering, assembly, and electrical testing tasks in a structured, process-oriented setting.
