Electronics / Calibration Technician 4-Day Workweek

Location: Campbell, CA
Schedule: Monday Thursday, four 10-hour shifts
Pay: $32.00 $35.00 per hour, depending on experience

About the Opportunity

CalTek Staffing is seeking an Electronics / Calibration Technician for an established precision equipment manufacturer in Campbell, CA.

This is a hands-on technical role for someone with experience in electronics, electrical testing, calibration, instrumentation, troubleshooting, or electronic repair. The position involves testing and calibrating specialized electronic and electrical equipment in a professional laboratory and manufacturing environment.

Previous calibration experience is helpful, but not required. Candidates with strong electronics fundamentals, experience using electronic test equipment, and good troubleshooting skills are encouraged to apply.

One of the biggest advantages of this opportunity is the four-day workweek Monday through Thursday.

What You'll Do

  • Perform calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of specialized electronic and electrical equipment.
  • Set up and operate electronic test and measurement equipment.
  • Verify equipment performance against established specifications and procedures.
  • Diagnose electronic and electrical issues and determine appropriate corrective action.
  • Perform basic electronic repair, component replacement, and soldering as needed.
  • Work with test equipment including:
    • Digital multimeters
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Power supplies
    • Electronic test instruments
    • Measurement and calibration equipment
  • Accurately document test results, calibration data, repairs, and work performed.
  • Review questionable or unusual test results with laboratory leadership.
  • Follow written procedures, specifications, schematics, work instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records supporting calibration and measurement traceability.
  • Help maintain laboratory equipment and organized work areas.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other technical personnel.
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures.

What We're Looking For

Candidates should have technical education and/or practical hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Electronics
  • Electrical technology
  • Calibration
  • Metrology
  • Instrumentation
  • Electronic testing
  • Electronic repair
  • Electrical troubleshooting

A technical certificate, associate degree, military electronics training, or similar education is helpful, but equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.

Preferred Technical Experience

  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting electronic or electrical equipment.
  • Experience using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow technical procedures, specifications, schematics, or diagrams.
  • Electronic assembly or repair experience.
  • Basic soldering and component-level repair skills.
  • Experience performing calibration, verification, testing, or inspection of electronic instrumentation.
  • Experience working in a calibration lab, electronics lab, manufacturing test environment, or similar technical setting.
  • Familiarity with formal quality-management or calibration standards is a plus.
  • Understanding of measurement traceability, measurement uncertainty, or metrology principles is helpful but not required.
