Lockheed Martin is seeking a Summer 2027 Intern, for an advanced (junior/senior) college level internship in our operations engineering electronics development team. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with senior engineers to influence real projects in the factory. An ideal candidate for this role will have some knowledge and interest in signals and system communications (analog/digital/RF). Must be a US Citizen.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, bench‑test, and troubleshoot complex hardware; configure and operate advanced test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, RF test gear).
• Integrate hardware‑software interfaces and conduct unit testing (C/C++, Python, Verilog/VHDL).
• Component & reliability analysis for circuit card assemblies
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews, work with teams in operations and design engineering to understand design for test (DFT) requirements and make recommendations to senior team members.

Basic Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology or a closely related discipline.
• Hands‑on laboratory experience: soldering, BGA rework, use of high‑frequency test equipment, prototype assembly, and debugging.
• Academic background in analog/digital circuit design, signal processing, embedded systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Must be a US Citizen.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills

• Software skills (C#, Python, MatLab, Verilog/VHDL)
• Experience with model‑based design, digital signal processing, or power‑electronics design.
• Understanding of how to maintain configuration control and versioning (Git, CLM).

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $26.81 - $30.97

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
