Electronics Hardware Engineer IIPosition OverviewPacket Digital is seeking an Electronics Hardware Engineer II to support the development of advanced electronics for unmanned systems, including drones, satellites, and terrestrial applications. This role offers opportunities to work throughout the product lifecycle, from concept and design to validation and production, while contributing to innovative aerospace and autonomous technologies.ResponsibilitiesDevelop hardware requirements based on customer and project needsResearch, design, simulate, and validate electronic circuits and system architecturesCreate schematics and PCB layoutsSupport product development, testing, troubleshooting, and production activitiesDocument BOMs, ECOs, and engineering changesParticipate in design reviews and continuous process improvementsMaintain engineering databases, components, and lab organizationCollaborate with cross-functional teams and support customer needsTravel approximately 10-20%, including occasional overnight tripsPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience2-4 years of experience with:Microcontroller-based designsCAN, USB, and serial communicationsSchematic capture and PCB designThermal analysis and mitigation strategiesPrecision analog measurementsElectronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, and power suppliesStrong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsLithium battery and battery management experienceSolar power applicationsDC/DC converter designHigh-current PCB design (>50A)Space or aerospace hardware experienceLow-power design expertiseSPICE simulation experienceExport Control Requirements (ITAR)This position may require access to technology or technical data subject to U.S. export control regulations, including ITAR.
