Description

Clayton Services is seeking an experienced Electronics Quality Inspector to join a growing manufacturing company in Houston, Texas. This position is ideal for someone with a strong eye for detail and hands-on experience inspecting electronic and electromechanical assemblies.

The Electronics Quality Inspector will be responsible for verifying the workmanship and quality of components and assemblies used in sophisticated equipment designed for demanding industrial environments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a skilled manufacturing team with the potential to transition into a long-term position.

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $24.00/hour

Electronics Quality Inspector Responsibilities:
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of electronic and electromechanical components and assemblies.
  • Inspect PCBs and PCBAs for solder joint quality, cleanliness, workmanship, and other potential defects.
  • Inspect wired assemblies for proper workmanship, routing, connections, and overall quality.
  • Use standard measurement and inspection tools, including calipers and GO/NO-GO gauges.
  • Verify components and finished assemblies meet established quality and workmanship standards.
  • Identify, document, and communicate defects or nonconforming materials.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
  • Work closely with production and assembly personnel to resolve quality issues.
  • Follow established quality procedures, specifications, and manufacturing standards.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the inspection process.
Electronics Quality Inspector Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of electronic and electromechanical assembly inspection.
  • Ability to visually inspect PCBs and PCBAs, including solder joints and workmanship.
  • Experience inspecting wiring, cables, connectors, and wired assemblies.
  • Proficiency with calipers, GO/NO-GO gauges, and other standard measurement tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify small defects and inconsistencies.
  • Ability to read and follow inspection criteria, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Dependable, quality-focused, and able to work collaboratively with production teams.
Electronics Quality Inspector Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Recent experience performing quality inspection of electronic, electromechanical, or similar manufactured assemblies required.
  • Experience with PCB/PCBA visual inspection and solder joint inspection required.
  • Experience using standard measurement and inspection tools required.
  • IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) certification is highly preferred but not required.
