    Job Description

Sphar Organ Service is a family owned and operated business in Sharonville, Ohio. We've been a trusted source of service and repair for electronic instruments and organs for over 75 years, servicing the Tri-State area and beyond. Our business continues to grow and we are looking to add additional Electronic Repair Technicians to our team to keep up with demand!

In search of one "in-shop" Repair Technician, and one/+ "traveling" Repair Technician(s).

If you are mechanically inclined, find electronics interesting and have the drive to learn, this job could be a great fit for you. Beyond general maintenance, repairs are often unique, challenging, and rewarding. This variance requires perseverance and problem solving skills.

    - Service and repair techniques can be taught, but prior experience with electronics such as mechanical repairs and soldering are used on a daily basis.

    - Ability to research (when needed) and interpret paper and digital schematics, and repair manuals is critical to your success.

    - Must be eager to learn, self-motivated and able to complete tasks (following training) with minimal oversight. You will need to know how to take notes that you can later rely on to be self-sufficient.

    - Common sense is a must! Safety is a priority!

    - Customer service and communication skills are very important. Must be comfortable explaining needed repairs and pricing to customers over the phone, via email and in person.

    - Upon hiring, training will be paid on an hourly basis. Instrument repairs are then paid on a commission basis.

    - Following training, "in-shop" Repair Technicians will present to the shop daily, answer phone calls, assist customers to take in instruments for in-shop repairs, efficiently complete in-shop repair jobs, maintain inventory and use Quickbooks for invoicing. Service is mostly provided to customers during normal business hours, Monday- Friday 8-5pm. Full-time preferred but ability to work part time may be considered.

    - Following training, "traveling" Repair Technicians will present to the shop daily, organize their assigned repair jobs using Google Maps, gather needed parts, and plan service routes independently, maintain inventory and use Quickbooks for invoicing. Service is mostly provided to customers during normal business hours, Monday- Friday 8-5pm. Ability to work extra is optional if desired.
