Location: Asheville, NC

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (4-day work week) with occasional overtime as needed.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Entry-Level Electronics Repair Technician with basic electronics knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and basic computer/data-entry skills to assemble, test, calibrate, and repair electronic temperature and pressure instrumentation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in electronics manufacturing and instrumentation. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced technicians and receive hands-on training in assembly, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial instrumentation products.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow assembly drawings, procedures, schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
• Assemble electronic measurement equipment according to specifications.
• Test and calibrate products for proper operation and accuracy requirements.
• Record manufacturing, test, and calibration data as required.
• Troubleshoot product defects and perform repairs as needed.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment to build, test, and repair products.
• Evaluate returned products and assist with repair and calibration activities.
• Assist with fabrication and evaluation of prototype products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards.
• Assist other departments and perform additional duties as needed to support business operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic electronics knowledge and troubleshooting skills required.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills required.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, procedures, and schematics.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to use common electronic test equipment such as multimeters; familiarity with oscilloscopes, signal generators, and frequency meters is a plus.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work the scheduled hours of Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional overtime as needed.
• Willingness to learn from experienced technicians and develop new technical skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

• Hand soldering experience.
• Participation in STEM activities, robotics programs, electronics hobbies, maker projects, or vocational training.
• Experience building, troubleshooting, repairing, or modifying electronic or electromechanical devices.

Compensation & Benefits

• Entry-level position.
• Starting pay targeted at $17.50 per hour and may be adjusted based on training, skills, and relevant experience.
• Medical insurance eligibility after 90 days of employment.
• Four-day work week with three-day weekends most weeks.
