Performs on‑site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems. Ensures the functionality and reliability of various technologies. Key duties include conducting site surveys, configuring hardware and software, testing systems for proper operation, and providing technical support to customers. Field Technicians must possess strong problem‑solving skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.Utilizes and comprehends project Safety plan (JHA, AHA, PFW), enforcing M.C. Dean handbook and policies.Participates in quality reviews of M.C. Dean design documentation, analyzing and interpreting drawing packages to evaluate constructability.Tracks project metrics and participates in weekly resource allocation meetings.Verifies correct charges in timesheets on projects.Executes installation and maintenance activities within planned durations, ensuring completion of detailed documentation.Tracks and inventories tools, conducts tool inspections, and organizes material ordering and receiving.Conducts daily ORM meetings, ensures team compliance with safety requirements, and completes accident/incident reporting.Participates in PITCO plan creation and build out, executing PITCO plan to ensure high‑quality testing and installation.Installs system raceway, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, and panels, adhering to industry standards.Terminates, tests, and configures electronic devices, network and IT equipment.Manages base switch configurations, participates in configuration of servers and workstations, and troubleshoots programmable components.Ensures compliance with established QC plans and checklists, conducting quality control inspections and documenting findings.Installs and maintains field devices, terminates and tests system components, and troubleshoots copper and fiber optic issues.Leads commissioning efforts, tracks commissioning activities, and assists in representing M.C. Dean in meetings with owners and design teams.Communicates consistently with MC Dean project teams, other trades, and customers, demonstrating dedication and collaboration.Leads by example, provides constructive feedback, mentors crew members, and encourages strategic thinking and innovation.Demonstrates strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills, aligning with M.C. This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle. Candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance with our policy.EducationHigh school diploma or GED is required.Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or from an Electrical Apprenticeship program.At least three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.Required Progressive Experience6+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs.Strong oral, written and presentation skills.Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are a plus.Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (as above).Preferred QualificationsVendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS and CCTV systems: CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems & certifications and experience in installation of these systems.3 years experience focused in electronic security systems.OSHA 30 certification.What We OfferA collaborative team inspired by the way engineering and innovation enhance customer outcomes, improve lives, and change the world for the better.
