We are seeking an Electronics Technician 3 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities

Executes various technical tasks and responsibilities within field operations. Performs on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems. Ensures the functionality and reliability of various technologies. Key duties include conducting site surveys, configuring hardware and software, testing systems for proper operation, and providing technical support to customers. Field Technicians must possess strong problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Utilizes and comprehends project Safety plan (JHA, AHA, PFW), enforcing M.C. Dean handbook and policies.

Key duties include:

  • Conducting site surveys
  • Configuring hardware and software
  • Testing systems for proper operation
  • Providing technical support to customers
  • Ensuring the functionality and reliability of various technologies

Participates in quality reviews of M.C. Dean design documentation, analyzing and interpreting drawing packages to evaluate constructability. Tracks project metrics and participates in weekly resource allocation meetings. Verifies correct charges in timesheets on projects. Executes installation and maintenance activities within planned durations, ensuring completion of detailed documentation. Tracks and inventories tools, conducts tool inspections, and organizes material ordering and receiving. Conducts daily ORM meetings, ensures team compliance with safety requirements, and completes accident/incident reporting.

Key duties include:

  • Participating in quality reviews of M.C. Dean design documentation
  • Analyzing and interpreting drawing packages to evaluate constructability
  • Tracking project metrics and participating in weekly resource allocation meetings

  • Executing installation and maintenance activities within planned durations

Participates in PITCO plan creation and build out, executing PITCO plan to ensure high-quality testing and installation. Installs system raceway, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, and panels, adhering to industry standards. Terminates, tests, and configures electronic devices, network and IT equipment. Manages base switch configurations, participates in configuration of servers and workstations, and troubleshoots programmable components. Ensures compliance with established QC plans and checklists, conducting quality control inspections and documenting findings.

Key duties include:

  • Participating in PITCO plan creation and build out
  • Executing PITCO plan to ensure high-quality testing and installation
  • Installing system raceway, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, and panels
  • Terminating, testing, and configuring electronic devices, network and IT equipment
  • Managing base switch configurations, participating in configuration of servers and workstations, and troubleshoots programmable components

Installs and maintains field devices, terminates and tests system components, and troubleshoots copper and fiber optic issues. Leads commissioning efforts, tracks commissioning activities, and assists in representing M.C. Dean in meetings with owners and design teams. Communicates consistently with MC Dean Project Teams, other trades, and customers, demonstrating dedication and collaboration. Leads by example, provides constructive feedback, mentors crew members, and encourages strategic thinking and innovation.

Key duties include:

  • Installing and maintaining field devices
  • Terminating and testing system components
  • Troubleshooting copper and fiber optic issues
  • Leading commissioning efforts, tracking commissioning activities, and assisting in representing M.C. Dean in meetings with owners and design teams
  • Communicating consistently with MC Dean Project Teams, other trades, and customers

Qualifications

Key Requirements:

  • Requires a Valid drivers license. This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle. Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance to our policy
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Education: HS diploma or GED is required
  • Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or
  • Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program
  • An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities
  • Required Progressive Experience: 6+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs
  • Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills
  • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives
  • Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems
  • CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems & certifications and experience in installation of said systems
  • 3 years experience focused in electronic security systems
  • OSHA 30 certification
