Electronics Technician 3 - Washington DC / 100% Travel

We are seeking anElectronics Technician 3 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets. 

In this role you will be responsible for supporting field office operations, performing system maintenance, and completing installation and sustainment activities across multiple locations. Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:

• Travel is required to support field office operations.
• Leading teams on small to moderately complex installation projects.
• Conducting and documenting daily toolbox talks.
• Installing head-end equipment at both the local and enterprise level in accordance with design packages.
• Programming head-end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems.
• Troubleshooting and isolating system and hardware issues at both local and global levels.
• Providing on-site software commissioning and testing.
• Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory.
• Managing and monitoring access control systems within the Bosch Intrusion Detection System (IDS), including configuring permissions, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Testing access control, database, and system integrations, including credentials, access levels, and visitor workflows.
• Supporting user training by preparing materials and assisting with workshops as directed.
• Documenting preventive maintenance, test results, calibrations, and performance metrics.
• Supporting annual comprehensive maintenance activities at field office locations.
• Supporting remote quarterly system health checks and on-site follow-up as required.

Clearance/Citizen Type:

Must possess and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and be able to obtain an SCI clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required in accordance with government contract requirements.

Requirements:

• · Requires a valid driver’s license.
• · This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle; acceptable driving record required.
• Education:
• · HS diploma or GED and one of the following:
  • o Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours), or
  • o Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program, or
  • o Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program, or
  • o An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.
• Required Progressive Experience:
• · 6+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs.
• · 3+ years of the above experience must be focused on electronic security systems.
• · Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
• · Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
• · Demonstrated time-management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
• · Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills are a plus.
• · This position requires travel.
• · Available to work Night Shift — Friday–Sunday, 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.

Abilities:

• The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to [50 pounds] on a regular basis. Candidates must demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks, including but not limited to, loading, and unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in the transportation of various materials. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be followed to ensure personal and team safety.
• Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.
• Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
• Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
• Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
• May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
