Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to support Assembly, development, testing, and manufacturing of GE (General Electronics) drivers used in acousto-optic products. This role involves hands-on work with analog and digital electronics, RF circuits, power electronics, and precision test equipment to build, troubleshoot, and optimize driver systems for acousto-optic modulators (AOMs), deflectors (AODs), and related photonics products.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic driver circuits for acousto-optic devices.
  • Build and validate RF driver modules, power amplifiers, oscillators, and frequency control systems.
  • Perform PCB assembly, wiring, soldering, and rework of electronic assemblies.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic hardware using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and multimeters.
  • Support engineering teams in prototype development, design verification, and product qualification testing.
  • Conduct performance testing and characterization of acousto-optic driver systems.
  • Document test procedures, troubleshooting activities, and manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with product improvements, cost reductions, and reliability enhancements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure products meet performance specifications.
  • Maintain calibration and upkeep of laboratory and production test equipment.
  • Support new product introductions and transition from prototype to production.
Required Qualifications
  • High School, Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in electronics assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.  (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics.
  • Experience working with RF electronics, signal generation, and frequency control circuits.
  • Proficiency using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with PCB assembly, soldering, and component-level troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications Preferred but not required
  • Experience with acousto-optic devices, photonics, laser systems, or electro-optic products.
  • Knowledge of RF amplifier design and impedance matching.
  • Familiarity with PCB design software and electronic CAD tools.
  • Experience supporting low-volume, high-precision manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of EMI/EMC considerations and electronic product reliability testing.
Key Skills
  • Electronics troubleshooting
  • RF systems and amplifiers
  • Analog and digital circuitry
  • PCB assembly and repair
  • Test equipment operation
