OverviewLutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Electronics Technician at our Florida Engineering office in Boynton Beach, FL.Electronics Technicians work in a hands‑on environment as members of cross‑functional engineering teams – supporting the development of new products. They work closely with some of the best engineers in the industry and can be involved in the product development process from initial concept, through the development, testing, manufacturing, and support phases.As part of their career development, Electronics technicians gain exposure to the broad range of technologies employed in our products. Some of these technologies include power electronics, analog and digital electronics, wired and wireless communication, software test automation, Ethernet communication, and embedded micro‑controllers. A mentoring program, tuition reimbursement, along with continued learning through “Lutron University” enhances the professional and intellectual advancement of our technicians.ResponsibilitiesExtensive design verification testing of analog and digital circuitsSoftware testing including user interfaces and communication protocolsHardware prototyping and reworkingDesign and assemble test fixturesTroubleshooting software and hardware (down to component level)Assisting in transitioning designs from engineering into manufacturing / productionDirectly supporting end customersQualificationsAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, or equivalent requiredMinimum cumulative 3.00 GPA requiredFamiliarity with the fundamentals of electricity and basic wiringNo experience required but 1 - 3 years hands‑on experience working with electronics preferredLutron Electronics' position as the worldwide leader in innovative lighting control and shading solutions has enabled consistent, annual growth.
