Job Description

Company & Role Context:
Minit Charger is a pioneer in fast-charging technology, with a solid track record supporting the aviation and supply chain sectors through our patented solutions. We are undergoing an ambitious growth phase, entering the Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) charging space with a unique design, compact footprint, and scalable power output designed to disrupt the market.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Electronics Technician to be a foundational part of our R&D team. You will be instrumental in the development, testing, and prototyping of our next-generation fast-charging products, directly contributing to our launch into the EV market.

Key Responsibilities (What You Will Do):
  • Testing & Validation: Develop comprehensive test cases and perform rigorous system-level testing and calibration of new and existing fast-charging equipment to verify operation and performance.
  • Assembly & Prototyping: Accurately assemble, wire, and configure complex electronic equipment and systems according to technical specifications, including building functional prototypes of new power electronics designs.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Conduct in-depth diagnostics to quickly identify and troubleshoot faults in PCB assemblies, components, and full systems; perform efficient repairs and component replacements.
  • Cross-Functional Testing: Execute end-to-end testing that spans hardware, embedded firmware, and cloud-based software to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of testing procedures, results, component failures, and repair actions; utilize strong writing and communication skills to document technical issues and collaborate effectively with R&D Engineers.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Strictly adhere to all safety procedures; perform preventative maintenance on lab equipment to identify and address potential operational issues proactively.

Required Qualifications (Must-Haves):
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering Technology (or a related technical field).
  • Technical Foundation: Strong, foundational understanding of electronics principles, analog/digital circuits, and component operation.
  • Hands-on Skills: Proficiency in soldering (SMT and through-hole), wiring schematics interpretation, and the execution of unit, system, and production-level testing.
  • Test Equipment Mastery: Demonstrated ability to proficiently use and interpret results from standard measurement and signal analyzer tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, DMMs).
  • Diagnostic Prowess: Proven ability to diagnose, isolate, and effectively troubleshoot component-level failures on complex electronic assemblies.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves):
  • Power Electronics: Practical experience or strong foundational knowledge of Power Electronics (e.g., high-voltage circuits, AC/DC conversion, inverters).
  • Programming: Basic familiarity with software or scripting languages for testing and automation.
  • Design Tools: Exposure to basic mechanical design tools (e.g., CAD viewers) for component fit-checking and assembly review.
