Electronics Technician

Description

Our client seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Technician to join their team in Dallas, TX. The Electronics Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, testing, calibrating, and verifying customer instruments to ensure they meet manufacturer specifications and quality standards. This role requires strong technical aptitude in electronic circuit troubleshooting, calibration, and product repair, as well as the ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Inspect, repair, test, calibrate, and install assemblies and finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and quality standards.

  • Perform assigned activities based on oral or written instructions, drawings, schematics, or other manufacturing documentation.

  • Follow established procedures and work instructions for all assigned tasks.

  • Handle materials and components in accordance with established safety and handling procedures.

  • Maintain expected job progress and communicate any problem areas or delays.

  • Perform electrical circuit analysis including analog, power, high voltage, and digital systems.

  • Set up and use measurement and test equipment such as digital multimeters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, insulation testers, and power supplies.

  • Determine root causes of equipment failures, identify appropriate solutions, and complete repairs.

  • Use hand tools (e.g., soldering irons, screwdrivers, crimpers, heat guns) to repair electronic assemblies and wiring harnesses.

  • Complete upgrades and adjustments as required.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction and timely turnaround on all equipment and services.

What You Must Have

  • Associate degree or applicable technical degree required.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in product repair, service, or troubleshooting complex electronic products.

  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.

  • Ability to perform electromechanical system troubleshooting and repair to the component level.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues.

  • Excellent soldering skills and knowledge of soldering standards and techniques.

  • Experience with product test and calibration methods.

  • Demonstrated experience working safely with high-voltage systems.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple repair jobs.

  • Capable of completing repairs and processing customer credits with minimal supervision.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Team-oriented attitude and ability to thrive in a small team environment.

  • Proficient with PCs and standard software applications; experience with SAP preferred.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds safely.
