Lay out and install all equipment necessary to modify brand-new vehicles into police and emergency vehicles. This includes routing and installing wiring harnesses, controllers, partitions, auxiliary batteries, light bars, push bumpers and consoles. Disassembling and reassembling factory vehicles. Read drawings and schematics with limited help. Troubleshoot repair and modify electronic components. Apply principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering, mathematics, electronic and electrical testing.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a maintenance garage setting. This position may require working in wet or hot, humid non-weather conditions and in highly precarious places. This position may also require working in outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold, risk of electrical shock and work with explosives. Work is generally performed Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm but may require occasional overtime (on call status) or working nights, weekends, or holidays.
