Summary:
The Electronics Technician I position is accountable to the Work Group Lead (WGL) in WBS 130. This includes supporting, maintaining and development of the Telemetry and Radar Acquisition data Processing Systems (TRAPS), Mission Control Centers (MCC), data distribution and recording systems, Mobile Operations Facilities (MOF), Range Safety Station (RSS) and project owned Ground Control Stations (GCS). This position receives technical guidance from WGL, Field Service Engineers, and other senior technicians. Work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.

Perform other duties as assigned, to include supporting other work centers during surges. This may include cross training in other function areas to meet overall contract performance objectives. Perform housekeeping of the work area and equipment according to specified standards. Operate personnel lifts, government vehicles and climb antenna towers. Troubleshoot computer systems, networks, switches, and routers. Perform display buildup, compile 'C' real-time source code and utilize command lines tools to interact with systems.

Configure and operate highly specialized telemetry processing systems with the ability to recognize and correctly resolve problems in time critical situations. Establish and maintain successful working relationships. Interact effectively with system users. Analyze data and resolve problems. Work in a team environment; work under deadlines; Use a computer to input and retrieve information and data; Perform work in an ISO compliant/certified environment. Ability to obtain and maintain a tower climbing certification. Ability to connect and configure desktop PCs and Laptops and other video sources to video distribution systems, including monitor displays and projectors in support of conference room support. Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. Ability to obtain and maintain a USAF Flight Line Driver's License.
Work Environment, Physical and Mental Demands:
Prolonged sitting while using the computer, constant use of sight abilities, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness. Ability to work extended and flexible hours including weekends. Ability to pass a heavy equipment physical exam required to operate motorized equipment such as forklifts, bucket lifts and platform personnel lifts. Ability to work on aerial platforms and in an outdoor desert environment. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Ability to climb stairs and ladders.Occasional travel is required.
