We are seeking an Electronics Worker I to support electronic assembly, rework, repair, and sustainment operations at a Modernization and Sustainment facility in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The role involves assembling and modifying circuit cards, cables, wire harnesses, chassis, and electronic/mechanical assemblies while following detailed work instructions, wiring diagrams, schematics, and production documentation.
This position offers the potential to transition into a regular full-time role based on business needs and performance.
Job Responsibilities
Assemble, disassemble, modify, rework, and repair electronic assemblies.
Perform PCB/circuit card assembly using through-hole and surface-mount components.
Perform component replacement, upgrades, modifications, soldering, and touch-up.
Prepare wires and cables and perform point-to-point wiring, crimping, soldering, and harness assembly.
Assemble cabinets, chassis, consoles, racks, and other electronic equipment.
Perform mechanical assembly activities including potting, encapsulation, bonding, curing, sanding, cleaning, stamping, etching, and color coding.
Read and follow process routings, wiring diagrams, schematics, production plans, and written/verbal instructions.
Operate equipment used for soldering, desoldering, pressing, shaping, winding, and component placement.
Perform in-process inspections and self-checks before formal testing and inspection.
Assist with conformal coating, potting, encapsulation, and other intermediate assembly processes.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Accurately complete required production and SPC/data collection activities.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2+ years of experience in electronic assembly, rework, repair, or a closely related field preferred.
Hands-on experience with soldering and cable/harness assembly.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and process routings.
Knowledge of electronic components and proper component handling.
Basic computer skills and ability to complete production/data documentation.
Ability to obtain and maintain required solder certifications.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
