Primary Duties:
- Expertise in assembling and soldering sophisticated electronic components and circuit card assemblies following IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards.
- Skillful in fabricating and testing cable and wire harness assemblies in line with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
- Conduct comprehensive functional and diagnostic tests on electronic assemblies and PCBs utilizing advanced test equipment.
- Competence in reworking and repairing intricate electronic assemblies, including both surface mount and through-hole components.
- Accurately interpret and utilize engineering schematics, wiring layouts, and technical documentation.
- Perform thorough visual inspections and functional assessments to ensure quality assurance.
- Engage collaboratively with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and enhance processes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all work activities, including logs of inspections, test results, and rework actions.
- Adhere to electrostatic discharge (ESD) protocols and cleanroom standards as necessary.
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement processes and lean manufacturing strategies.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven IPC J-STD-001 certification.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electronic assembly, ideally within aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
- Proficient in soldering, cable assembly, inspection, testing, and rework.
- Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Exceptional attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Well-versed in ESD practices and quality control measures.
