The Fountain Group is currently seeking an Electronics Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is in Los Angeles, CA 90024.Details of the position are as follows: 
 
Job Details:
  • Pay: $33.00/hour
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Duration: 12-month contract with potential to convert to permanent
  • Location: Los Angeles, CA
  • Work Environment: 100% Onsite
 
Position Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Technician to support electronic hardware testing, troubleshooting, prototype builds, and product validation in an engineering laboratory environment. This role works closely with engineering teams to support new product development and manufacturing readiness.

What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of electronics, hardware, or RF experience OR an Associate Degree with 3+ years of related experience
  • IPC Certification required (IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001)
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies and hardware
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and PCB drawings
  • Hands-on soldering and electronic rework experience
  • Experience using electronic test equipment such as:
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Digital Multimeters (DMMs)
    • Power Supplies
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder (ITAR requirement)
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Test and validate electronic and RF products
  • Troubleshoot electronic hardware and assemblies
  • Perform soldering, rework, and component replacement
  • Build prototype assemblies, cables, and test fixtures
  • Support environmental and laboratory testing
  • Document test results and assist with failure analysis
  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing teams during new product introductions
Preferred Qualifications
  • RF electronics experience
  • Product validation or engineering laboratory testing experience
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, or R&D environments
  • Experience using spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers (VNAs), and signal generators
  • Familiarity with environmental testing (thermal, vibration, humidity, shock)
  • Experience with Python, LabVIEW, or basic test automation
  • Knowledge of IPC, JEDEC, MIL-STD, or related industry standards
