Responsibilities:

Position Summary

Arcfield is seeking an Electronics Technician to support prototype development, hardware integration, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and sustainment for Imaging, Electronic Warfare (EW), RADAR, RF, and other military electronic systems.

 

You will work alongside engineers and technicians to assemble, test, modify, and troubleshoot electronic and electromechanical hardware. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented technician who is mechanically and technically inclined, comfortable asking questions, and eager to learn. Candidates with transferable electronics experience; including Navy or other military electronics experience, are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, integrate, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical procedures.
  • Perform functional testing using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and RF analyzers such as FieldFox.
  • Support prototype builds, hardware verification, system integration, laboratory testing, and engineering troubleshooting.
  • Perform or support soldering and electronic assembly activities in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Document test results, discrepancies, assembly observations, configuration changes, and engineering records.
  • Assist with production documentation, technical procedures, and work instructions.
  • Maintain laboratory tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
  • Participate in technical reviews, continuous-improvement activities, and team discussions.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma 1-2yrs, GED, or equivalent technical or vocational education.
  • At least one year of experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, or maintaining electronic or electromechanical equipment.
  • Ability to read and work from schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, or similar technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
  • Willingness to learn new tools, equipment, technologies, and processes.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Soldering and electronic assembly experience, including familiarity with IPC standards.
  • Experience with RF systems, antennas, fiber optics, RADAR, Imaging, Electronic Warfare, or other military electronics.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, RF analyzers, or similar test equipment.
  • Experience supporting prototype development, engineering laboratories, low-volume manufacturing, hardware integration, or sustainment.
  • Prior Navy, submarine, combat-system, shipboard, or other military electronics experience.
  • Previous U.S. Government security Secret clearance, including an inactive clearance.
Equal Pay Act: This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, Arcfield invests in its employees beyond just compensation.
