PGS Worldwide is seeking Electronics Technicians in Oldsmar, FL for one-year contract-to-hire roles supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The Electronics Technician will test, troubleshoot, adjust, calibrate, and repair electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassembly units in a production environment. This role requires component-level troubleshooting experience with solid-state and digital circuits, electronic assembly testing experience, and strong documentation skills.

Required Skills

  • 1+ year of direct electronics testing or electronics technician experience.
  • Experience testing electronic assemblies, circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, or subassembly units.
  • Component-level troubleshooting experience with solid-state and digital circuits.
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Electronics circuit card troubleshooting and testing experience.
  • Ability to use schematics to isolate failures on analog and digital circuitry.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and data collection programs to accurately document maintenance actions.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to set up test apparatus and conduct tests following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences.
  • Ability to adjust and calibrate electronic assembly systems.
  • Ability to correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts/components as directed.
  • Experience using hand tools, small power tools, measuring devices, and testing devices.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and support customer schedules.

Preferred Skills

  • RF troubleshooting experience.
  • Digital circuitry troubleshooting experience.
  • Flying Probe operation experience.
  • In-Circuit Tester experience.
  • High-power test experience.
  • Familiarity with radar systems.
  • Vibration and thermal ESS experience with circuit card assemblies or subassemblies.
  • Military backshop repair or troubleshooting experience with circuit cards, subassemblies, or Line Replaceable Units.
  • Experience using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, frequency standards, and signal generators.
  • MIL-STD-167-1A vibration experience.
  • Thermal testing experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Set up test apparatus and test electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassembly units.
  • Troubleshoot electronic assemblies to the component level.
  • Use schematics to isolate failures in analog and digital circuitry.
  • Adjust, calibrate, and repair electronic assembly systems.
  • Replace parts or components as directed to correct malfunctions.
  • Use measuring and testing devices to evaluate product performance.
  • Analyze test results and recommend equipment or process modifications.
  • Assist engineers with test procedure development for new products.
  • Support product improvement and manufacturing modification recommendations.
  • Verify quality using statistical process or other control procedures.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • 1st shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM.
  • 2nd shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM.
  • Overtime may be required, with up to 10 hours per week expected.

Pay

  • $22.00–$35.00/hour
