Job SummaryRDSI has an immediate opening for an Electronics Technician at the Pawcatuck, CT location. The successful candidate will provide support for Submarine Communications systems, system upgrades, system testing and various research and development efforts based at the Newport Navy Base.

Responsibilities

Perform upgrades to system hardware including module and cable replacements. Review system drawings for accuracy. Inspect and verify new equipment received from manufacturer. Perform system testing for both new manufacture systems and upgraded systems. Troubleshoot and repair Electronic Circuits. Troubleshoot and repair Radio Frequency paths. RF Cable and wiring harness assembly. Update and maintain material inventory database. Interface with design engineers for R&D projects. Interface with suppliers to resolve any material issues. Provide input for test plans and test procedures. Interface with Government personnel and occasionally attending meetings on base.

Requirements

Must be familiar in the use of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.

Must be familiar in the use of Electronic test equipment (i.e. Oscilloscope, Multi-meter).

Must be familiar in the use of RF Test equipment (i.e. Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, RF Power Meter).

Good oral and written skills.

Must possess good interpersonal skills.

Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision. Must have attention to detail and good organization skills.

Preference given if minimum experience with one or more of the following work areas: \u2013 Prior experience working with DOD communications systems. \u2013 Prior experience with Navy Submarine communications systems.

Must have or be eligible for a Secret Clearance.
