Tasks will be related to inspections, repairs, modernization and/or alterations.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms troubleshooting and/or testing of various electrical, systems, circuits, controls, instruments and equipment on offshore military shore facilities, Navy ships/vessels to include submarines and/or ship's components and documents test requirements.Possesses ability to install and test Analogue to Digital interfaces, Programmable Logic Controllers and other electronic devices.Qualified as a fiber optics technician with the ability to install, connect and test fiber plant equipment.Conducts voltage and other electrical safety checks.Repairs electrical equipment such as motors, switches, radios, appliances, control panels, starters, navigation lights and lighting equipment.Performs connections/hook-ups to panels, switches, and boxes.Proficient in pulling cables in cableways and bulkhead and deck stuffing tubes.Assists Electrical Lead in identifying discrepancies in drawings.May supervise small teams of electricians.Fill out objective quality evidence (OQE) forms.Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.Employees may be required to travel to work to other locations.Other duties may be assigned.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
