Position Overview
We are seeking a detailoriented Engineering Technician to support handson hardware fabrication, testing, troubleshooting, and laboratory operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in electronics assembly and testing who enjoys working in a dynamic engineering lab environment.
You will play a key role in building and supporting development hardware, working closely with engineering teams, customers, and vendors to ensure systems are assembled, tested, and maintained to high standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and assemble electronic/electrical chassis and mechanical racks using engineering drawings and specifications
  • Support hardware integration, troubleshooting, and testing of electronic assemblies and subassemblies
  • Perform disassembly and reassembly of hardware for modification, repair, or testing purposes
  • Conduct basic electronic and physical tests to validate functionality and performance
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, and process specifications
  • Maintain lab organization and ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures
  • Collaborate with engineers, customers, and vendors to address technical issues and support project needs
  • Follow established procedures, sequences, and quality standards with strong attention to detail
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U S Government Security Clearance (REQUIRES US Citizenship)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams
  • Experience performing electronic assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with process specifications and engineering documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across teams
  • Experience following structured procedures in a lab or technical environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Secret or higher security clearance
  • Associate’s Degree (AA) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
  • Prior experience in an engineering lab, R&D, or prototype development environment
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders (approximately 3–5 feet) as needed
  • Comfort working in a handson lab environment
 
Candidates must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
