Electronics Test Technician
Job Location: Napa, California
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $25-$30/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 6am-2:30pm
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as an Electronics Test Technician or hands-on experience working with electrical systems and test equipment? Our client is looking for a Electronics Test Technician to support the testing and development of solar and renewable energy technologies. This is a hands-on position that combines lab work, technical troubleshooting, data collection, equipment maintenance, and occasional outdoor fieldwork.
In this role, you will perform performance and accelerated stress testing on solar photovoltaic (PV) modules, power electronics, and energy storage technology. You'll operate test equipment, perform voltage and current testing, accurately record data, and help maintain a safe and efficient laboratory environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform voltage and current testing on PV modules and power electronics using appropriate test equipment, procedures, and PPE
- Operate and monitor laboratory test equipment to support performance and accelerated stress testing
- Accurately record, organize, and maintain test data using data acquisition systems and Microsoft Excel
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and replacement of laboratory equipment and spare parts
- Install hardware, PV modules, monitoring equipment, and related testing components both indoors and outdoors
- Assist with setting up and maintaining test stations and equipment

You will be supporting a well-established renewable energy testing laboratory in Napa, California.
Experience Required:
- 1-2 years of hands on technical experience through employment, trade school, military service, or related technical training
- Experience working with electrical systems, test equipment, or processes requiring strict adherence to SOPs
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record technical information and test results
- Ability to work under pressure
- Self-motivated with the ability to follow assignments through to completion
