    Summary

    Summary

    Responsible for procedural support to physicians in the Electrophysiology (EP) lab. Technical duties include all procedures performed in the EP lab including device implants, EP studies and ablations. This position functions independently as an expert technologist in EP who is a highly competent and clinically skilled member of the patient care team.

    Responsibilities

    Provides technical support to the physician during procedure. Scrubs in at the table to act as a first assist with handling venous and arterial catheters and wires. Problem solves equipment and patient access issues. Operates equipment, fluoroscopy equipment, or other imaging systems. Prepares patients and equipment for procedure. The individual must be competent in proper sterile technique and in the operation and troubleshooting skills of EP specialty equipment and the x-ray system. Operates complex electrophysiology specialty equipment.

    Experience: Required: * 1-3 years Experience

    Note: Must possess the knowledge, skill, physical ability and mental capacity to perform the typical duties and responsibilities outlined. Education:

    Required: Associate's Degree Education Note: Graduate of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology Licenses And Certification: Required: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Basic Life Support RCS or RDCS or RCIS or RCES * Registered Radiologic Technologist
