Location: Hackensack, NJ
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Flex Shift | 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Schedule: 4x10s or 5x8s | Up to 40 Hours/Week | Weekends/Holidays as Needed | On-Call Required

Pay Rate
Local: $70.00 - $73.00/hour
Traveler: $75.00 - $79.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an Electrophysiology Technologist with recent Cath Lab and EP experience to assist with electrophysiology, cardiac, peripheral diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology experience
  • Acute-care Electrophysiology experience
  • Knowledge of EP mapping and ablation procedures
  • Cardiac implantable device experience
  • Experience with temporary and permanent pacemakers
  • Experience with IABP and Impella
  • Knowledge of sterile scrub techniques
  • Graduate of an accredited CVT, Radiologic Technology, or Applied Science program
  • AHA BLS certification
  • AHA ACLS certification within 3 months of employment
  • RCIS through CCI or Radiologic Technologist License within 1 year of hire
  • Hemodynamic monitoring experience
  • Ability to recognize and interpret cardiac arrhythmias
  • Strong computer and communication skills
  • English proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional Cath Lab and EP experience
  • Advanced cardiovascular procedural experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist with invasive electrophysiology and cardiac procedures
  • Assist with EP mapping and ablation procedures
  • Assist with pacemaker and cardiac implantable device procedures
  • Assist with IABP and Impella procedures
  • Prepare sterile trays, equipment, and supplies
  • Maintain sterile scrub technique
  • Position and prepare patients
  • Calibrate transducers and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
  • Obtain, calculate, and analyze hemodynamic data
  • Operate power injectors and digital cine technology
  • Assist with vascular access, sheath removal, radial banding, and hemostatic closure
  • Recognize and interpret cardiac arrhythmias
  • Maintain inventory and equipment
  • Follow CVIS requirements and departmental protocols
  • Maintain accurate documentation and safety standards
  • Participate in required Cath Lab/EP on-call responsibilities
