Job Summary:
The Custodian Leader is responsible for the cleaning, safety, and security of the building. An important aspect of the Custodian Leader's work is the coordination and servicing of all school and outside group activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs cleaning, sanitation and maintenance duties as assigned
- Responsible for maintaining required building safety and security
- Maintains inventory of all custodial supplies
- Coordinates with Head Custodian the evening use of the building
- Sets up, takes down and cleans up after school and outside group events
- Responsible for keeping sidewalks, steps, etc. free of snow and ice
- Performs other duties assigned by the Head Custodian and School Principal Job Qualifications:
- Knowledge of materials, equipment and methods used in cleaning operations and grounds maintenance
- Ability to establish and maintain a harmonious relationship with staff, supervisors, co-workers, parents, students, and public
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to climb ladders and perform physical labor required for cleaning duties including relative long hours while standing
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Perform other duties assigned by immediate supervisor
- 1-3 years current experience as a Custodian
Working Conditions:
C1 $18.14 - $21.31/hr + $0.35 Shift Differential
