Elementary Art Teacher Deadline: May 1, 2026 District/Organization: Lakeshore Public Schools Position/Type: Teacher, full time Position Details Position: Elementary Art Teacher Location: Hollywood Elementary School Lakeshore Public Schools Stevensville, MI 49127 This position is a one-year appointment at this time, with no guarantee of renewal beyond the initial term. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement art lessons tailored to elementary school students. Foster creativity through various mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and digital art. Encourage students to explore artistic expression while developing technical skills. Organize and display student artwork within the school and at events. Maintain a safe and organized classroom conducive to artistic exploration. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into the broader curriculum. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field. Teaching certification/licensure as required by Michigan Prior teaching experience (preferred). Strong communication and classroom management skills. Enthusiasm for art and the ability to inspire young learners.
