DEFINITION:
Under the direction of the principal, assists in the planning, coordination, and directing of activities and programs related to the administration of one or more elementary schools.

Master s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in educational administration or a related field
EXPERIENCE:
Successful teaching in an elementary school; experience in the area of elementary curriculum; demonstrated skill in participatory management, shared decision-making and school and program planning. Site or district level leadership desirable

Requirements / Qualifications
Must possess or qualify for a CA Administrative Services Credential. [Interns are acceptable, but MUST be already enrolled in a program.] Credentialed applicants must hold a Master s Degree. A minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching and/or administrative experience in any of grades K-6 and possession of a current underlying credential authorizing service in grades K-12.
Letter of introduction. Current professional resume. Three current (within 2 yrs) letters of recommendation. Copy of administrative credential [Intern candidates must include a verification of current enrollment in an administrative credential and Master s degree program (Master s portion not required if you already hold a Master s degree). Failure to complete the program will result in release]

Comments and Other Information
These positions are for the 2026/2027 school year and sites are TBD. Selected candidates will be invited to participate in an assessment center tentatively scheduled for Monday, July 20th. Fringe benefits include excellent medical, dental, and vision options for the employee and his or her family, $140,000 in life insurance and excellent disability insurance for the employee. Management benefit packages are offered through SCSEBA Marketplace and may be HMO or PPO. Employees do make a contribution towards their benefit package. An IRS Section 125 pre-tax employment plan is available to help offset these costs.
