Job Title: Elementary School Dean/Instructional Coach
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary elementary administrator for student discipline and attendance.
- Investigate behavioral incidents following the BRV Student Handbook and Indiana Code.
- Facilitate disciplinary conferences with students, parents/guardians, and staff.
- Monitor daily and chronic absenteeism reports; contact families to support re-engagement.
- Assist with documentation and referral processes for legal attendance concerns in collaboration with juvenile courts or truancy officers.
- Serve as the School Testing Coordinator for all standardized state and local testing.
- Manage test security, create building-wide testing schedules, and set up testing environments and accommodations.
- Lead elementary data meetings in collaboration with corporation administrators.
- Manage elementary media center budgets, order new books, and retire outdated library materials.
- Oversee and manage the digital programming, cataloging, and checkout system for the elementary media center.
- Maintain complete compliance with all legal and state requirements related to the elementary media center.
- Supervise, direct, and evaluate Media Center paraprofessional.
- Be available for after-school responsibilities and extracurricular supervision as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Indiana Teachers License (progress towards administrative license preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience; administrative experience preferred.
Contract Type: Certified, 183-day teachers contract
Salary: Per teachers master contract
