Cross Country Education is looking for a certified ELA Teacher to step into a vital Reading Interventionist role in Bridgeport, CT for the 2025-2026 school year. Position Overview:

  • Deliver high-impact, small-group reading interventions to students in grades K-6, focusing on phonics, fluency, and comprehension to close foundational learning gaps.
  • Assess and monitor student growth using standardized literacy tools to adjust instructional strategies to meet individualized needs and benchmark goals.
  • Partner with classroom teachers and school leadership to align intervention efforts with core elementary curricula and student IEP/504 goals.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid Connecticut Teaching Certification with endorsements in Elementary Education and Reading
  • 1–2 years of direct experience in literacy or elementary ELA instruction
