Location: Elm Lawn Elementary
Position Summary: Maintain the physical school facilities in a condition of operating excellence, cleanliness, and safety so that full educational use of them may be made at all times. Supervise one to three full time custodian class I employees.
Essential Functions:
Scheduling and training of at least one custodian class I
Providing direction and job assignments to at least one custodian class I
Minor and preventative maintenance on equipment, tools, and building fixtures
Maintains inventory of supplies
Basic cleaning tasks of sweeping, mopping, waxing, trash, and dusting
Set up and take down of equipment
Assists with grounds keeping and snow removal
All other duties as assigned which relate to the functions of the job

Working Conditions: This job is performed indoors and outdoors with the temperature varying according to the season
Physical / Mental Requirements: This job is classified as medium/heavy work with the possibility of constant to occasional standing and walking/moving throughout the worksite depending on day to day tasks. There is frequent pushing/pulling exerting forces up to 70 pounds. There is frequent bending/stooping and lifting up to 50 pounds. There is occasional sitting, driving a pickup, squatting/crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, kneeling, lifting up to 100 pounds, and repetitive movements with both hands. Verbal and auditory communication is frequently utilized. Near and far vision acuity, depth perception, accommodation, field of vision, and feeling are frequently utilized.
