Terra Schools is seeking two Elementary Mandarin Teachers to maintain a Mandarin language immersion classroom environment, develop Mandarin curriculum based on students’ needs, monitor student progress, and support students’ academic and developmental growth.
1. Maintain a Mandarin language immersion atmosphere in the classroom.
2. Responsible for Mandarin curriculum development based on students’ needs.
3. Documents and monitors the progress of individual students and use school-approved screening and evaluation tools to develop Mandarin teaching plans for individual students.
4. Participate in prospective student assessments.
5. Set-up and maintenance of elementary school classroom and materials.
6. Supervise classroom, playground, assembly, and study activities; direct, observe, and control behavior of students.
7. Serve as the primary source of communication with parents regarding student progress and expectations.
8. Generate trimester narratives and report cards for elementary school students.
9. Organize and execute student off-campus trips for students

• Bachelor’s degree in English or English Education.
• At least 12 months of work experience in the same or related role, e.g. teaching assistant, teaching elementary school students in international school/educational institutions in China.
• Must have experience in developing curriculum and coordinating with parents.
