Elementary & Middle School Teachers

Blessed Savior Catholic School has two campuses on the Northwest side of Milwaukee. Our mission is to educate and serve all of our students by promoting academic excellence, character development, and faith formation. We are able to promote all of these through small class sizes, a committed staff, and supportive parents.

The East Campus is looking for 3rd, 4th and 5th/6th Math Teacher to complete our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a love for teaching in an urban school environment, and the ability to work with a team. The candidate must have the ability to provide a secure, comfortable, respectful, and inviting learning atmosphere which motivates students to achieve at their highest level. They must build a strong classroom culture and have the ability to work with the students, parents, and staff of Blessed Savior Catholic School.

Ideally the candidate will have a license in teaching, however, if you are committed to working toward your teaching license, we can help you to achieve that goal while gaining valuable classroom experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
• Foster effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support student development.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to enhance literacy and math skills.
• Collaborate with other educators to develop curriculum and participate in professional development opportunities.
• Support students'' social and emotional growth through active engagement and mentorship.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Education

Bachelor's degree required

Current Wisconsin teaching license (or ability to meet requirements for a plan of study toward licensure)

Knowledge Common Core Standards

Working knowledge of Google Classroom, Gmail, and Google Calendar

Satisfactory Background Check and completion of Safeguarding God's Children
