The Oconto Falls School District is seeking a positive, compassionate, and highly motivated 1.0 FTE elementary school music teacher for the 2026-20207 school year. Desired Qualifications:
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Possesses a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, a sense of humor.
- Is knowledgeable of music standards, content, best practices, differentiation, modifications, and accommodations within the curriculum.
- Collaborates with school-level teams and the district music department to set and reach goals.
- Recruits and retains students in the music program.
- Provides opportunities for music ensembles.
- Plans, rehearses, and directs students in musical performances, competitions, and assessments.
- Holds an in-depth knowledge base of aligning formative and summative assessments to learning targets and using data to drive standards-based instruction.
- Seeks out additional opportunities outside of the classroom for students to express their musical abilities.
- Maintains high expectations for student achievement and a passion to engage all students.
- Is familiar with trauma-sensitive practices.
- Shares expertise and compromise, has good listening skills, is an effective communicator, and will bring a positive attitude to the team.
- Desires to integrate technology to enhance instruction and learning.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including effective written and verbal communication.
- Integrates into the school community by advising, and/or coaching.
- Bilingual/ELL experience/skills are a plus.
