Position Title: Part-Time Teacher
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our Lady of Loretto Catholic School is a TK-8 Roman Catholic elementary school located in Novato, CA. Inspired by Gospel values, we serve the children of our parish and neighboring communities, working in partnership with our school families to create a positive and safe learning environment where students develop their skills as loving Christians, innovative learners, giving citizens, humble individuals, and thoughtful communicators.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of a 4-year undergraduate degree, advanced degree desired
Valid California multiple-subject credential preferred
Experience and passion for teaching elementary school-age students
Desire to embrace the Catholic ethos of the school and promote the Catholic spiritual development of students
Ability to lead vocal music and provide accompaniment (piano/guitar skills strongly preferred). Knowledge of Catholic liturgical music and traditions is often requested.
Strong classroom management skills
Completion of required diocese-specific safe environment training (e.g., VIRTUS) and fingerprinting/background checks is mandatory.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Sense of humor and willingness to be flexible and supportive of the overall school program
COMPENSATION: $25-$28/hour
