Elementary Music Teacher & School Programs Coordinator (Part-Time with Growth Opportunity)

Encore Music & Performing Arts is seeking an exceptional music educator to join our growing team and help lead music education programs at our partner elementary schools beginning in August 2026.

This position is ideal for a passionate educator who loves teaching children, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to play a meaningful role in building high-quality school music programs. We are looking for someone who views teaching as a profession—not simply a side gig—and who is excited about making a lasting impact on students and families.

With two thriving locations and expanding school partnerships, this role offers the opportunity to grow into a larger leadership position combining classroom instruction, program coordination, and community engagement.

About the Role

You will teach engaging elementary music classes during the school day (1st-5th grade) while helping support and oversee our school-based music programs, including band, choir, and orchestra.

Depending on experience and availability, responsibilities may include:

  • Teaching elementary general music classes (1st-5th grade)
  • Overseeing teachers in our beginning band, choir, and orchestra programs, including schedule and classroom management.
  • Supporting curriculum planning and program development
  • Communicating with partner schools and families
  • Assisting with concerts, performances, and special events
  • Helping coordinate schedules, enrollment, and program logistics
  • Collaborating with our team to continually improve the student experience
This position begins with part-time instructional hours and has the potential to expand into a larger teaching and administrative role for the right candidate.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting Position

  • $32.50/hour teaching rate
  • Opportunity for compensation review after 90 days
  • Part-time employee status
Expanded Role Opportunity

Qualified candidates may be considered for an expanded position that includes program coordination responsibilities:

  • $35.00/hour for teaching hours
  • $25.00/hour for administrative/program support hours
  • Approximately 70% teaching and 30% administrative responsibilities
Benefits Include

  • Dental insurance
  • Accrued paid sick leave
  • Professional development workshops and training
  • Paid time off (expanded role)
  • Health insurance stipend up to $250/month through Encore's QSEHRA program (expanded role)
Schedule

  • Monday–Friday availability required
  • Teaching hours typically occur between 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
  • Planning, training, and onboarding begin prior to the August 2026 school year
  • In-person instruction at local elementary school campuses
